As a Professional Birth and Postpartum Doula, and Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher, Bonnie has a passion for Prenatal/ Postnatal Yoga and Restorative Yoga, offering classes to students privately and in the group environment. As a mother of three, Bonnie knows firsthand the value of yoga and what a gift her practice can be for the entire family. She has extensive training in Prenatal Yoga (PRYT) through Dig Pregnancy Prenatal and Postnatal, and is also certified in Restorative Yoga by the Queen of Relaxation; Judith Lasater; along with Mary Aranas and Ann Biasetti. Along with her initial 200hr. training through Yoga Fit, she has been trained in alignment based yoga and is currently with Gopi Kinnicutt. With over 500 hours of training, she has had the joy of teaching various flexibility, strengthening, prenatal and restorative classes along with small groups and private clients. She is currently teaching Prenatal Yoga, Vinyasa Flow, Restorative Yoga, and Yin Yoga. During the summer months she teaches prenatal and postnatal donation yoga classes in Congress Park, Saratoga. She was a Livestrong Coach for cancer survivors at the Wilton YMCA and continues to donate Restorative Yoga classes to cancer survivors.
Bonnie has completed 100 hours of training in Biodynamics Cardiovascular Therapy: Compassion Practice with Moms & Babies. She is currently enrolled in Biodynamic Craniosacral Certification Program through Turtle Back Craniosacral Education PLLC.
Bonnie loves hiking with her family and walking her dog in the local parks. She also enjoys reading a good novel and snuggling up with her 10 year old son to watch “The Goonies”. She loves cross training, traveling and occasionally busts out singing or giggling with her students in her Vinyasa flow and Prenatal yoga classes.
I am currently offering private restorative, prenatal & postnatal yoga sessions.

I honestly can’t say enough wonderful things about Bonnie! We decided to work
with a doula because I wanted a hospital birth, but with a more natural feel. I was
hoping to have an un-medicated labor and birth, but wanted the safety net of a
hospital in case there were complications, and I had learned that working with a
doula was a great way to improve the chances of a natural birth. I spoke with her on
the phone about halfway through my pregnancy, and knew immediately that I
wanted to work with her. She was so kind on the phone, and really took the time to
listen to my needs and concerns. Soon after the initial phone interview, we set a
date for her to meet my husband.
We ended up meeting with her several times during the pregnancy, and talked with
her and emailed frequently. She was always available to answer questions or weigh
in on concerns, and would often go above and beyond to find the information I
needed. On several occasions, she did extensive research and sent me journal
articles and studies that helped answer questions I had. While anecdotal evidence is
sometimes helpful, and she was able to guide me a lot with just her experience and
personal knowledge, she realized that being very fact-driven, that evidence-based
scientific research was what I needed to feel secure in my decisions. I feel like she
read me very well, and provided me with what I personally needed to feel informed.
Because of complications towards the end of my pregnancy, it was decided just
before 38 weeks, that I’d need a C-section. We didn’t have a lot of notice (the
decision was made on a Wednesday morning, I was admitted Wednesday afternoon,
and had the procedure early Thursday morning). I called Bonnie just after meeting
with my midwife and deciding on the C-section, and she made herself available
immediately. She met my husband and I at the hospital a few hours later, stayed
with us through the evening, and then came back to the hospital very early the next
morning to be with us during the procedure. The support she provided during that
difficult time allowed us to relax knowing that another knowledgeable person was
there to look out for our best interests. She helped me with breathing exercises to
work through my nerves, massaging my hands with calming oils, and bringing up
questions that we hadn’t thought of, that proved to be important to ask about the
While having her at the hospital during the c-section was a great benefit to us, she
was also very respectful of our time as a new family of 3. While we were bonding in
the post-op room, she was making sure that our hospital room was ready for us, and
making sure that all of our belongings that we had left in a different area from the
night before made it to where we’d be spending the remainder of our stay. This was
just one example of how she thought of things we definitely wouldn’t have, and
ensured that things went smoothly, without having to worry us with minor details.
Bonnie’s post partum services also greatly exceeded our expectations, as she went
well above and beyond what we assumed would be provided. In addition to
bringing us soup, and thoughtful gifts, her presence in the days following our release
from the hospital gave me peace of mind and allowed me to ask questions in a
comfortable environment. She was able to offer advice about breastfeeding, post
partum recovery, and life in general with a baby.
In conclusion, I can’t imagine our pregnancy or birthing experience without Bonnie.
I’m someone who does a lot of research, and Bonnie was able to provide information
and experience that I didn’t find anywhere else. She has a beautiful personality and
is very easy to work with. I give her my absolute highest recommendation.
Bonnie provided great support prior to, during and after the birth of our son. Prior to the birth of our
son, she met with my husband and I several times to discuss our wishes for labor and birth, what type of
birth we wanted, if we planned to use any pain relievers etc. She sought to understand our wishes and
provided us additional reading material about epidurals, natural birth, natural pain remedies, etc. so
that we could make informed choices. During labor, she supported my husband and I with natural pain
remedies. She did so with complete respect and compassion for my husband and I and our home. She
was unobtrusive and did not interfere with our bond, but rather supported both of us. She helped my
husband provide counter-pressure that eased the pain of the contractions. She reminded me of
breathing techniques to relax my body. Her support during labor was excellent and essential to us
having the birth experience we desired. After the birth of our son, she cooked us soup and folded
laundry, picked up groceries and helped me learn several holds for breastfeeding our son. Her help with
the chores allowed us to spend more time sleeping, bonding with our son and learning how to
breastfeed. I am so happy to have had Bonnie on my birth team and I truly look forward to an
opportunity to work with her again!
Thank you so much for approaching me today in my musical haze. It was lovely to see you. And while I do not get on the mat as frequently as I allow myself to, I'd like you to know that I'm grateful for the time I did spend with you. Restorative yoga saved my life twice. It pivoted me away from what never served me properly. Then it blew me in an unknown, unexpected direction, one that nourishes and infects my every day with gratitude and love first.
Thank you so much.
